Why is your SAT reading stuck?
A stuck reading score has three different causes that feel identical from the inside: vocabulary, pacing, and reasoning. Each needs a different fix. Run the untimed dictionary test, drop your three numbers in below, and this will tell you where your points are actually leaking. (New to the method? Start here.)
- Take a reading section the normal way: timed, no help. That, or your last practice test, is your baseline.
- Take a fresh section untimed, no dictionary. Give yourself all the time you reasonably want.
- Take another fresh section untimed, with a dictionary. Look up any word you're unsure of.

Your biggest leak
A rough read, not a lab result. Use real, official questions and full sections, not five at a time, or noise will swamp the signal. "Untimed" means comfortable and focused, not all day. Treat this as a pointer to your biggest leak, not a measurement to the decimal. And a swing of a question or two between attempts is normal noise, not a finding.
